I work mostly with oils on stretched canvas. My practice is as much about intentionality as following the motions of the paint, improvising with twigs, rocks, forks etc - usually because I've ruined all my paintbrushes.

 I like to explore mechanical and natural forms, not to place them in opposition but to express the beauty in the commonplace. Visually the mechanical forms can appear abrupt and slightly sinister when striking across undulating natural scenes, but I think these symbols have their own liveliness.
